Yangon Academy’s middle school program offers a challenging curriculum and a joyful school experience for every student. With an age-appropriate focus on educating the whole child, while also preparing students for success in our high school, the highly-qualified and credentialed middle school teachers are passionate about fostering within each child a love of learning and a commitment to the community.

The Middle School program at Yangon Academy offers a challenging curriculum using a wide variety of American textbooks and materials. We also use high-quality materials and resources from other publishers from around the world, together with the ever-increasing multitude of internet-based options.
Our education is not focused on learning facts but rather expanding young minds to experience
things they didn't know.

Sports
The Yangon Academy Sports Program enjoyed a very successful year. This year we had over 70 students participating in a variety of sports from basketball, soccer and volleyball was our largest sport in terms of athletes with 45 students participating. There is more work to be done for our Soccer program and we are hoping that we can get a Girls Soccer team up and running next year. Of course, all this could not have been possible without the huge commitment and effort put forth by our great coaches.
Clubs
School clubs are a great way to help develop a student’s character and improve their skills, benefitting them not only in school but in their college applications and future career. Students' extracurricular involvement can help widen their experience and hone their communication skills, creative thinking, ability to work together effectively within a team and understand more about leadership.
School Trips
During the Academic year, our children may go on field trips to local places of interest to broaden their experiences. The pre-school may also be visited by travelling shows e.g clowns. Parents will be notified through a newsletter and a permission note will need to be signed. Some field trips have a minimal cost involved. Examples of Field Trips:
